Snapshot of a sign taped to the door of the 7-11:

Is 7-11 really the place to be spending one’s EBT money?
Best of all, the sign originally just said EBT, without “(food stamps)” next to it. It was necessary to clarify.

Actually where I live (Edgewater) quite often people offer to buy me food with their stamps in exchange for a little cash. Presumably they prefer the flexibility. Naturally I do not make this arrangement.

Strange. Never heard that one before.
I was just surprised, perhaps in my ignorance, that a place like 7-11 takes EBT. My concept of EBT was money for groceries, not for buying a bag of Doritos and a bottle of liquor at convenience store markup prices.
